Where to stay

Last updated November 1, 2026

Stay in one of two areas: Kaleiçi, the old town, or Konyaaltı, the beach. They are about 15 minutes apart by taxi. Both are on the west side of the city, with the airport to the east.

We have not reserved a room block, so there is no hotel you need to stay at. Book your own place in either area, to suit your budget and taste. The hotels below are suggestions. Airbnb is an option too. For hotels, Booking.com works fine.

Kaleiçi

The walled old town. Narrow stone streets, Ottoman houses turned into small boutique hotels, and the old harbour at the bottom of the hill. Restaurants, bars and the main sights are at your doorstep. Most streets are pedestrian, so taxis drop you at the gates and you walk the last few minutes.

Pick Kaleiçi if you want character and want to walk everywhere. Hotels here are small, often 10 to 30 rooms, so book early.

Konyaaltı

A long pebble beach west of the centre, with the Taurus Mountains right behind it. Hotels here are bigger and modern, many with pools and sea views. A promenade runs the length of the beach.

Pick Konyaaltı if you want a beach holiday and a pool. The old town is a short taxi ride away.

Skip the big five-star family resorts on the beach. They fill up with package tourists and can get loud.

Getting to the venue

The wedding is at Kırkgöz Han, an old caravanserai about 25 km north of the city. It is about 40 minutes by car from either area.

We will arrange transport to the venue from the city, and will share the details closer to the date. You do not need to rent a car for the wedding. Rent one only if you want it for other trips.
